Ready for Battle: British Airborne Jumping Off Points

These Jumping Off Points (JOPs) are used with TFL’s Chain of Command ruleset for platoon level combat in WW2 and will see action in our Arnhem Campaign.

“In the cabbage patch”

The drop canisters are from Warlord. The German is also from Warlord, while the Brit is Artisan and the sheep hails from Pegasus Hobbies.

“Well this is new to the farm”

For Operation Market Garden, the British used different coloured parachutes to distinguish the different canisters. Khaki is for rifles and packs. White is for medical kits. Red, ammunition.

“For you Jerry, the war is over.”

For the German’s white flag I used tissue paper soaked in a 50/50 mix of white glue and water.
