Here are the first of the Blood Red Skies planes (1:200 scale) painted up. The Spit is F/O George “Buzz” Beurling’s in colours from Malta, while the P-40 (Curtis Kittyhawk Mk I in the RAF) is in North African colours with the markings of 112 Squadron, RAF. The plastic Spit was badly warped but hot water solved that problem. The P-40 is resin and needed minimal clean up. The tiny decals are from Miscellaneous Miniatures. The paint was Vallejo Middlestone and Dark Earth, with AK RAF Azure blue for the bellies. The P-40 has a black wash and the Spit has a Citadel Sepia wash. Both planes were lightly dry-brushed after the wash to highlight and give that sun-faded look.

Since you have miniatures from Wings of Glory and Blood red Skies I wonder if there’s a photography you made, where one can see both miniature types in comparison?
I’m asking because I’m thinking about using Blood red Skies miniatures to substitute the Wings of War cards only boxes and mixing Wings of Glory miniatures in.

Thanks and absolutely! We’ll get a shot sometime before the end of January. They’re both 1:200, the only difference will be basing. We’re aiming to use both the Wings of Glory and the Blood Red Skies to play Bag the Hun, so we’re going to have to adapt the bases of all of them.
