Well, I’m not dead. The transition out of uniformed life and into the civilian world has been a bit of an adventure. That, coupled with full-time work, an ongoing master’s programme, and a family has kept me pretty busy.
That said, I have done some wargaming and played some TTRPGs, but not as much of either as I would like. I’m finally getting back to posting and first had to wade through over 2000 emails and comments. I’m not going to lie; I mass deleted most. If you had a legitimate comment or question, please resend!
Some fun things I saw in the comments (in italics) with my imagined responses immediately following:
- I would like to borrow your tongue. I am rather attached to it, so must decline.
- Small children’s footwear is flexible. As in useful for many things or pliable?
- There is noticeably big money to comprehend this. I assume you have made particular nice points in features also. I sadly missed out on the big money despite my nice points.
- Your house is valuable to me. Thanks? It’s valuable to me too, it’s where I keep all of my stuff.
There was so much spam it was incredible.
Anyway, back to the blog!
Over the next few posts I’m going to photo-dump some pictures of games from the past year and a bit (see the AT team brewing up a Sherman above as a sort of teaser). I don’t have the narrative for most anymore, so it’ll just be something pretty to look at. I’ll also drop in a post about living on Vancouver Island with some more pretty as this island is really quite something.
Then I’m going to do a write-up on my experience running The One Ring 2e (ToR2e). It is a great game and one that I look forward to running again (or playing in) in the future.
Finally, I’m hoping to get back to more regular posting of wargaming and TTRPG. Realistically, I think that means once a month, but that is still a sight better than none.
