My British Airborne platoon is finally completed and ready to jump into battle for our Arnhem campaign. The platoon follows the standard CoC list from the main rule book and is made up of 37 Paras in an HQ section and three rifle sections.

The figures are a combination of Warlord metal and plastics and Artisan Miniatures. To keep track of who’s who on the table, I’ve marked each base with different colours; maroon, blue, yellow, and green for the HQ, 1, 2, and 3 Section respectively and the BREN teams of each section with an additional white mark. To denote Leaders, the Lieutenant has three hash marks and the sergeants have two in their section colour.

Painting started off slow with only doing two Paras at a time but once I reached 22 I needed to get a move on so we could start the campaign and attempted to do the last 15 in one push. Let me tell you, that was bad idea! Painting 15 of the same thing over and over again became very repetitive very quickly and took all of the joy out of the hobby. I settled on 5 at a time as a happy medium, it allowed me to knock out a decent amount of troops at a time while still enjoying painting.

I could only capture so much details in the pictures, but if there are any figures you’d like to see closer up, just ask and I’ll happily snap some extra and upload them. Also, stay tuned for the support options coming soon!
Very nice work. They look great!
